Overview: 

Bytewise Measurement Systems, (www.bytewise.com), is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Software Developer.  The person selected for this job will initially participate in the design and development of a 2nd generation, non-contact, air foil measurement system.  There will be the opportunity to develop other industrial measurement products in the future.  Candidate must be highly capable C++ developer with some experience in industrial automation, vision systems, geometric transformation, and message based architectures preferred.   Experience in the industrial field of air foils is beneficial.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Product Development.  Will be responsible for designing and coding software to achieve product-functional objectives as defined by a product manager.   Products are typically industrial measurement systems utilizing non-contact geometric instruments and incorporate other mechanical devices such as motion actuators and robots. 
  2. Technical Documentation.  Will be responsible for providing technical documentation and diagnostic software to enable application engineers to understand, configure, and troubleshoot the systems.
  3. Pilot System Installation Support.  Will participate in the start-up of pilot systems to fully understand the real-world usage of the software and to better understand how to evolve the software to meet the needs of the user.
  4. Secondary Support Role.  Will provide technical training to sales, production and application engineering staff who will sell, use, and configure the software systems.
  5. Organizational.  Will report directly to Engineering Manager.
  6. Professionalism:  Must have strong inter-personal skills reflecting responsiveness, respect, courteousness and skill when working with customers, external contractors and co-workers. 

Travel Requirements:

Includes international travel.  Less than 10% on average.

 

Educational Requirements:

B.S. in either Electrical or Computer Engineering.  Post-graduate degree preferred.

 

Work Experience Requirements:
2 years of software development work experience.
