Tire Building Machine Monitoring
The Bytewise Green Tire Uniformity Monitor uses a Sheet-of-Light ("SL") Sensor to acquire the dimensional surface topography of a green tire or a carcass at any stage of its construction. One scan of a green tire rotating at 30 RPM produces a measurement frame consisting of 1,536 x 4,000 measurement points. This frame is analyzed to determine key quality measurements such as radial runout, lateral runout, conicity, and various component placement accuracies, including width, centering, and splice quality.
