Tire Components
Over the past fifteen years, the technology used to measure extruded tire components has changed from pencil and graph paper to off-line laser profiling systems and finally to on-line, Sheet-of-Light ("SL") Sensor-based, profilometers. Bytewise, the company that has sold more Off-Line Profilometers than all of its competitors combined, is pleased to now offer an On-Line Profilometer (“OLP”). Because it employs no moving parts and relies on Bytewise SL Sensors for its data collection, the OLP has proven to require very little maintenance and collects a true, cross-section profile of the extruded product.
